For now, Tamuz provides technical support for the entire CADEX product line and carries out warranty repairs and post-warranty service.

For more than one year, Tamuz Electronics Ltd. has been a distributor of CADEX products in its region. During this time, the company has accumulated a wealth of experience in supplying battery maintenance systems, and in using CADEX products in its production – when testing new batteries, as well as assessing the condition and residual life of our customers’ batteries.

Tamuz Electronics’ testing laboratory and service personnel received approval to provide service for CADEX products, and Tamuz acquired the status of CADEX Authorized Service Centre.

For now, Tamuz provides technical support for the entire CADEX product line and carries out warranty repairs and post-warranty service.

Corporate History

The company’s name, Memory Protection Devices, refers to the initial usage of our battery holders, which was to power CMOS RAM, a special type of computer memory that is used to store system settings. Although we are still protecting memory with our battery holders, MPD has since branched out and we now have a diverse line of products.

Mascot – a Scandinavian Pioneer in Electronics

Founded in 1938, Mascot was one of the radio manufacturing pioneers in Norway. From day one, our focus has been on meeting our customer’s demands, relentlessly finding ways to improve the quality of our products, and develop innovative solutions for our customers.

In 1953, Mascot was the first Norwegian manufacturer to introduce car radios in Norway. During the 1950s, Mascot radios became widely popular due to their superior reception, both in Norway and in mountainous regions in Europe and the Near and Middle East. In the early 1960s, Mascot even established a manufacturing joint venture in Turkey to meet the demand in this region.

Market Adaptability

Our experience goes well beyond radios and manufacturing abroad, however. As the radio business became increasingly competitive throughout the 1960s, Mascot looked to utilize its development and manufacturing know-how in new ways and found an exciting emerging market in telephone answering machines. For over 35 years, Mascot manufactured these machines under the brand name Ekkofon, which for many businesses became synonymous with the name for an answering machine.

From radios to power supplies

In addition to our manufacturing base, Mascot started in the 1970s also to import stereo and video equipment from the Far East. These were sold under both the Mascot and Silver brand names, and this continued until 1989.

The power supply business came out of the need for battery eliminators for Radios. These were promoted for the first time in 1964. The range of power supply products has grown considerably since then, reflecting changes in customer demands and technology.

Today, Mascot is a leading manufacturer of power supplies and battery chargers. Our main offices are located in Fredrikstad, Norway, and production can either take place in our own facilities in Tallinn, Estonia, or in Ningbo, China. With this flexibility, we are prepared to serve your needs for quality products at competitive prices and lead times.
