This intelligent charging approach ensures that every battery in your rotation meets the exact capacity needs of your operation — with customizable pass/fail criteria that adapt to critical, standard, or extended duty applications.

The USC is available in three models to fit various operational demands:

  • USC 1 – Compact single-bay charger (25W / 50W)

  • USC 2 – Dual-bay version with 25W / 50W per bay

  • USC 6 – Scalable six-bay system, also offering 25W / 50W per bay

All models support dual AC/DC input (100–240 VAC and 11–33 VDC), allowing seamless use in labs, offices, vehicles, or remote field stations. The intelligent buck-boost converter ensures stable operation across wide power ranges.

The USC charger operates in both standalone and PC-connected modes, delivering flexibility for different use cases. Corporate History

Mascot – a Scandinavian Pioneer in Electronics

Founded in 1938, Mascot was one of the radio manufacturing pioneers in Norway. From day one, our focus has been on meeting our customer’s demands, relentlessly finding ways to improve the quality of our products, and develop innovative solutions for our customers.

In 1953, Mascot was the first Norwegian manufacturer to introduce car radios in Norway. During the 1950s, Mascot radios became widely popular due to their superior reception, both in Norway and in mountainous regions in Europe and the Near and Middle East. In the early 1960s, Mascot even established a manufacturing joint venture in Turkey to meet the demand in this region.

Market Adaptability

Our experience goes well beyond radios and manufacturing abroad, however. As the radio business became increasingly competitive throughout the 1960s, Mascot looked to utilize its development and manufacturing know-how in new ways and found an exciting emerging market in telephone answering machines. For over 35 years, Mascot manufactured these machines under the brand name Ekkofon, which for many businesses became synonymous with the name for an answering machine.

From radios to power supplies

In addition to our manufacturing base, Mascot started in the 1970s also to import stereo and video equipment from the Far East. These were sold under both the Mascot and Silver brand names, and this continued until 1989.

The power supply business came out of the need for battery eliminators for Radios. These were promoted for the first time in 1964. The range of power supply products has grown considerably since then, reflecting changes in customer demands and technology.

Today, Mascot is a leading manufacturer of power supplies and battery chargers. Our main offices are located in Fredrikstad, Norway, and production can either take place in our own facilities in Tallinn, Estonia, or in Ningbo, China.
